Dr. Joni Young and her dental team are committed to providing dental care and education to those in need. These are a few of the organizations we support.
Dr. Young is a member of the Neighborhood Dentist Program where she does free-of-charge treatment, in her office, for children who are in pain and whose family cannot afford treatment. This program is managed through the school district.
She also has volunteered multiple times on the Tooth Taxi and done treatment on board the Tooth Taxi as well as out of it for Give Kids a Smile Day.
Mission of Mercy
Mission of Mercy is a dental clinic with portable dental stations set up in a large public arena. Dental screenings and services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, at no charge to those who attend. MOM combines the donated services of hundreds of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental lab technicians and an array of volunteers to provide these free dental services.
Dr. Joni Young and her staff have volunteered in the all four of the Oregon Mission of Mercy projects in Portland and southern Oregon. These clinics have provided millions of dollars in care over the last four years, and have seen over 4,000 patients in need.
